Understanding How Coffee Enema Cleansing Works

A coffee enema is different than a standard saline enema. The most important difference being that a coffee enema introduces the presence of caffeine in the coffee. The active ingredients in caffeine -theophylline and theobromine - combine to stimulate the relaxation of smooth muscles causing dilatation of blood vessels and bile ducts. The effects of having a coffee enema are much more intense than simply drinking coffee. The veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue and the caffeine is able to be absorbed more rapidly and in higher concentration than when coffee is drunk.

Benefits of Coffee Enemas and Coffee Colonics

Enemas and Colonics have been used for hundreds of years, and are generally regarded as safe. Coffee cleansing enemas have a chemical makeup that is stimulative. The enzymes in coffee - called palmitates - encourage the liver to carry away the toxins in bile acid. Coffee is then absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein and taken up to the liver by the portal vein. With the bile ducts dilated, bile carries away toxins to the gastro-intestinal tract. At the same time, peristaltic activity is encouraged because of the flooding of the lower colon. As a result, when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are evacuated out of the body.

Coffee Enema Kits and Coffee Colonic Supplies

1. Buy a re-usable coffee enema kit. You can use standard enema products - available at most pharmacies. They are usually disposable (although they can be cleaned and reused for several months) and they are inexpensive.
2. Purchase Distilled water.
3. get yourself some organic coffee, any roast - medium/dark/light is fine.
4. Get a french press pot.

Coffee Enema Recipe

• Boil 8 cups of distilled water.
• Grind eight heaping spoonfuls of organic coffee and put into your french press pot. You can also use a drip coffee maker, but be sure to use organic, non-bleached coffee filters.
• Pour your boiling water over the coffee grounds and let it steep. Cool your coffee solution for about an hour.
• After this amount of time, the liquid should be about body temperature. If you stick your finger in the water it should be lukewarm or cool, but not hot. body temperature is about 100 degrees - so check with a thermometer if you have one.
• Press the coffee grounds to the bottom, then pour the coffee liquid into an enema bag or enema bucket - whatever youre using...

NOTE: Never use flavored coffee, sweetened coffee, or coffee with milk (cafe au lait) for your coffee enema recipe.

The use of coffee in a colonic, enema, or suppository will result in clensing alongside a heightened sense of well being, pleasure, and a release of toxins.

Coffee Enema Procedures and Directions

• Use an at-home enema kit that includes an enema bag that is sturdy enough to accept a large amount of lukewarm coffee.
• Make sure that there are no grounds in the enema bag or enema hose; also ensure that the hose doesn't get a kink in it as this will result in the settling of the coffee oils.
• Follow the directions that accompany the enema kit. Lie on your right side, inject and attempt to retain the coffee for 10-15 minutes.
• I recommend lightly massaging your abdomen from left to right (up the left side, and then left to right just below the navel).
• Additionally, I recommend changing positions while retaining the coffee. After a few minutes turn over onto your back, a few minutes later switch to your left side before evacuating your bowels.
